This Mile High View of Denver’s City Park looking west from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science was a sight for sore eyes. After completing a shooting assignment in NE Quebec, Canada I got up early one morning and went for a walk. Much to my delight, I was awarded with this gorgeous view at sunrise.
Denver provide it’s residents with over 200 city parks, over 100 miles of trails, and 11 dog parks. This equals over 5000 acres of urban parkland. Denver Parks are open from 5:00 am until 11:00 p.m. year round for it’s visitors and residents alike.
Denver catorizes it’s parks into three different classifications, Regional, Community and Neighborhood parks. I have been lucky to have traveled the globe and must admit there is beauty all around if you only stop and pause. Pictured here is Denver’s City Park it is located east of downtown on 17th ave and York Street.
The expansive, multifaceted park bares similarities to New York’s City Park. You’ll find rolling landscape, public golf course, brilliant colorful gardens, ornate water fountains, placid lakes and an area to enjoy a picnic. Included in the Park is the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science
